The McLaren P1 is a limited production, plug-in hybrid sports car produced by McLaren in October 2013 – December 2015. Frank Stephenson and Robert Melville designed the P1 in England, making its debut at the 2012 Paris Motor show.
These limited, only 375 produced, have a rear mid-engine and rear wheel drive. Competing with other hybrid sport cars like the LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder, the P1 accelerates from 0-100km/h (62mph) in 2.8 seconds, 0-200km/h (124mph) in 6.8 seconds and 0-300km/h (186mph) in 16.5 seconds making the P1 a half a second faster around the Silverstone circuit.
Hot Wheels has been producing the McLaren P1 casting since 2015 and still releases them to date.
